Partners have a custom exporter that works when exporting to Word 2003, but fails for 2007. I'm trying to gather the details, but I wonder if anybody here had that experience and what they did to fix it? Is it possible that 2003 uses handle 'Word.Application' and 2007 uses some other handle?

Re: Export to Word 2007 FYI: I'm a 2007 user an my export routines open Word as a standard "Word.Application" object. Alain |

Re: Export to Word 2007 llandale - Thu Aug 20 08:58:06 EDT 2009 But if DOORS instantiates a COM object, it should work with any version of MS Word if the appname is "Word.Application" and if DOORS uses the COM interface. |
Re: Export to Word 2007 adevicq - Thu Aug 20 09:47:02 EDT 2009 I can tell you that DOORS 7.1 did not support Office 2007. I remember having some issues even with DOORS 8.2 and Word 2007. I think 2007 wasn't officially supported until DOORS 8.3. My advice is to start from scratch and see if you can instantiate a Word 2007 instance from DOORS and populate it with some text. From there you should have the key to make the custom export work. Good luck. |
